Dr. Patrick Simard, OD, MSc, MBA, FAAO, FBCLA, FIACLE, FIAOMC, is a distinguished Canadian optometrist, clinical educator, and researcher with over 20 years of expertise in myopia control, orthokeratology, and specialty contact lenses. He serves as Clinical Instructor and Lecturer at the École d’Optométrie de l’Université de Montréal, Co-owner and Optometrist at Clinique d’Optométrie Bélanger, and Advisory/Board Member of AAOMC. He is actively engaged in AAO Myopia SIG, education committee, and public health white paper development.

Dr. Simard has led numerous clinical trials, holds multiple international patents for myopia management devices, and has authored several widely translated textbooks. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and is a frequent keynote speaker at global conferences including AAO, BCLA, ARVO, and International Myopia Congress. Dedicated to evidence-based practice and global optometric education, he bridges clinical excellence, research innovation, and professional training to advance myopia control worldwide.
